Duppa Richard [ 1768 - 1831 ]

He wrote A Brief Account of the Subversion of the Papal Government. 1798 , The Life of Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino and Works of Michelangelo Buonarroti, with his Poetry and Letters. An expert on botany, he also wrote handbooks on science and natural history and school textbooks. He built up a considerable collection of books, which was sold by Evans of Pall Mall in 1831. Another very interesting work is the Travels in Italy, Sicily, and the Lipari Islands, published in 1828 following his tour of Italy.
